Overview

Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most picturesque safari destinations, nestled between the dramatic cliffs of the Great Rift Valley and the shallow, alkaline Lake Manyara. Though smaller in size, the park boasts an incredible diversity of wildlife and landscapes — from lush groundwater forests and open grassy plains to hot springs and swamps.

Best Time to Visit

  • Dry Season (June – October): Best for general game viewing as animals are easier to spot.
  • Wet Season (November – May): The park is lush and green; excellent for birdwatching and photography.
